Taylor rescues the Bushrangers at the Gabba

Kiwi Ross Taylor hit 58 on his debut for the Victorian Bushrangers at the Gabba as the Queensland Bulls bowlers restricted last years Big Bash runner ups.

The Bulls won the toss and elected to bowl first and removed the Bushrangers first three wickets inside 3 overs for just 5 runs.

With Brad Hodge (0), Rob Quiney (4) and David Hussey (0) all back in the pavilion it was down to Taylor to rescue the Bushrangers with Cameron White (19) offering support.

The Kiwi smashed the Bulls bowling attack around the Gabba with a quick fire 58 which included 4 fours and 3 sixes to breath some new life in the Bushrangers.

After Taylor departed Andrew McDonald (23) and Dwayne Bravo (36) continued the blitz to leave the Bulls needing to chase 158 for victory.
