ten Doeschate joins Tasmania for Big Bash

Essex Eagles all rounder Ryan ten Doeschate is set to play for the Tasmania Tigers during this summers KFC Big Bash tournament in Australia.

The Dutchman, who played a vital role in helping the Eagles reach the Friends Provident t20 Finals day, has established himself as a top class all rounder in the shortest format of the game.

"Ryan has been a big name in the Dutch national side thanks to both his success at Essex and a stunning season in the ICC Intercontinental Cup," said Tigers coach Tim Coyle.

"He has become something of a cult figure amongst the Essex supporters with his huge hitting and big personality, and I'm sure the Tasmanian Twenty20 fans will enjoy watching him play," he added.

ten Doeschate will join up with his new teammates at the end of December after playing for the Canterbury Wizards in the HRV Cup Twenty20 Cup in New Zealand.
