Knights collapse hands victory to Wizards

The Canterbury Wizards secured a comprehensive 60 run victory over the Northern Knights after the visitors suffered a batting collapse at Queen Elizabeth II Park in Christchurch.

Having been set a victory target of 164 the Knights top order failed to fail with Daniel Flynn (5), Brad Hodge (5) and Herschelle Gibbs (0), Kane Williamson (8) all falling cheaply.

Although BJ Watling (20) and Anton Devcich (19) offered some resistants the Knights finished a promising camping in disappointing fashion after slumping to their 4th straight defeat.

Having been put into bat by the Knights, the Wizards enjoyed an impressive start thanks to Peter Fulton who smashed a quick fire 64 which included 5 fours and 2 sixes.

With support coming from Johan van der Wath (31) the Wizards reached 163-5.
