Klinger and Pollard lead Redbacks to victory
Michael Klinger and Kieron Pollard lead the way for the West End Redbacks helping them secure a 55 run victory over the DEC Bushrangers at the Adelaide Oval.
The pair shared a 4th wicket stand of 48 to help the Redbacks reach 171-3 after the home side had been reduced to a score of just 46-2 after 6 overs.
Klinger (76) lead the way with a half century but once again it was Pollard who grabbed the headlines after he smashed 35 from just 19 balls which included 2 fours and 2 sixes much to the delight of another big crowd in Adelaide.
Faced with a run chase of 172 the Bushrangers struggled to keep up with the required run rate as they lost wickets at regular intervals to slump to a heavy defeat.
Skipper Cameron White (44) offered the most resistant’s but it was the Redbacks who stayed focused to secure their first victory.
