Lumb leads Sixers to five wicket victory

A half century from Michael Lumb was enough to help the Sydney Sixers seal a nervous five wicket victory against the Brisbane Heat at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Lumb smashed five boundaries and one six during a 55 ball innings which saw him score 61 runs to help the Sixers to chase down the Heats total of 127-9.

Nic Maddinson (17) and Brad HAddin (16) offered support but with wickets falling at regular intervals Lumb saw the visitors home with six balls to spare.

It proved to be a disappointing day for the Heat after they were restricted to a total of just 127-9; Luke Pomersbach (37) and Joe Burns (27) led the way but with a total of just 128 to defend it proved to be in vain.
