Officials meet to decide Champions League dates

The governing council of the Champions League T20 is holding a conference call on Friday to finalise new dates for the tournament.

The event, which was to be held from Decemeber 3-10, was postponed after the Mumbai terror attacks.

Sources have told CNN-IBN that the event is likely to be held in early January itself.

With India's tour of Pakistan all but cancelled, a window is available. But the tricky issue of the participation of Pakistan champions Sialkot Stallions will have to be considered.

A team from Pakistan is unlikely to travel to India in the current circumstances.

Australia and South Africa may have to reschedule their two Twenty20 games which are meant to be played on January 11 and 13.
