Mishra reprimanded for aggressive behaviour

Delhi Daredevils spinner Amit Mishra was reprimanded but escaped a fine for breaching the Champions League Twenty20 Code of Behaviour during his team's match against Victorian Bushrangers.

Mishra pleaded guilty to breaching Level 1.6 of the CLT20 Code of Behaviour, which relates to "pointing or gesturing towards the pavilion in an aggressive manner by a bowler or other member of the fielding side upon the dismissal of a batsman."

At a hearing held after play at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium last night, Mishra was reprimanded by match referee Roshan Mahanama.

The incident took place in the eighth over of the Victorian innings when Mishra bowled Bushrangers opener Rob Quiney.

All Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand and a maximum penalty of USD 2000.

For Level 1 breaches, the match referee's decision is final and binding.
