Waugh and Clarke show support for Blues

New Australian Twenty20 captain Michael Clarke has offered his support to the NSW team that takes on Victoria tonight in the semi-final of the Airtel Champions League.

Clarke, who is currently recovering from injury and is hopeful of joining the Australian One-Day squad for some part of their upcoming series against India, wished the NSW team the best of luck for their match against old rivals Victoria later today:

"I wish NSW all the best in their semi-final against Victoria. I have been watching the Airtel Champions League with great interest and have been proud of the way that the NSW side have gone about their cricket. I look forward to today’s match and hope that the boys can continue their form and reach the final".

Former Australian and NSW captain Steve Waugh also has thrown his support behind the Blues.

Waugh, who was in India recently promoting his charities, is as passionate about his home State as ever: "I only ever wore one Green Baggy Cap during my Australian career and I only ever wore one Baggy Blue Cap for NSW, that’s how much they both meant to me" Waugh said when asked about his feelings about tonight’s match.
