Bushrangers turn to Hussey to skipper team

The Victorian Bushrangers have made David Hussey skipper for next months Twenty20 Champions League in South Africa after Cameron White decided to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

With White choosing to join his IPL franchise during next months tournament the Bushrangers, who will receive a compensatory fee of $200,000 turned to Hussey.

Although Whites decision was expected Cricket Victoria chief executive Tony Dodemaide said it is disappointing to lose the big hitting all rounder.

"We certainly would have loved to have Cameron available to play and captain the Victorian side at Champions League," said Dodemaide.

"We understand the situation he finds himself in and the decision to demonstrate his integrity as a sporting professional and honour his contract with Bangalore," he added.
