Lions win the toss, Guyana put into bat


Highveld Lions skipper Alviro Petersen has won the toss and decided to bowl first again Guyana in a make or break game for the South Africans.

The Lions come into the game with two points and know victory to day will keep them in the hunt for a place in the knock out stages of the Twenty20 Champions League.

Guyana come into the game needing a miracle to qualifying having lost the previous two games, defeat today will end their hopes of piping the Lions, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore and securing second place in Group B.

The Lions have made two changes to the team that lost against the South Australia Redbacks last weekend with Neil McKenzie (Flu) and Werner Coetsee being replaced by Jean Symes and Craig Alexander.

Guyana have also made two changes which see’s Lennox Crush and Steven Jacobs replace Paul Wintz and Narsingh Deonarine.
