2008 Twenty20 Champions League

The inaugural Twenty20 Champions League was due to start on Wednesday, December 3rd 2008 in Mumbai with the Middlesex Crusaders facing the Victorian Bushrangers.

The game, like the tournament never took place. Just a week earlier the terror attacks in Mumbai had made playing cricket in India impossible. The effects would be felt for months afterwards but with the Crusaders, Bushrangers and the other teams due to arrive in India on the Thursday after the attacks it was decided that the event would be cancelled.
