Lords have announced ticket details for the first ever Twenty 20 Cricket match at the home of Cricket.
Tickets are now on sale for the first Twenty20 Cup match to be played at Lord's - the London derby, Middlesex v Surrey, on Thursday 15th July. This is the final group game and could therefore have a bearing on who reaches the quarter-finals. A big crowd is expected for this match, with plenty of support from both Middlesex and Surrey fans, and the advice is to purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Vinny Codrington, Chief Executive of Middlesex CCC said: "We think there will be a huge demand for tickets for this match. The London derby is a mouth-watering prospect and we hope strong support will propel us into the quarter-finals."
Roger Knight, Secretary & Chief Executive of MCC, said: "We are delighted to host a Middlesex game in the Twenty20 Cup. Hospitality sales have been very good, which suggests a healthy interest in the game. MCC is determined to make the first Twenty20 match at Lord's a success, and there cannot be a better way to spend a summer evening in July than at the Home of Cricket."
Tickets for the game - priced at £10 for adults, £5 for U-16s - can be bought by calling the Lord's Ticket Office on 020 7432 1000 or via the website at www.lords.org. Tickets will go on sale to personal callers when the cricket season starts at Lord's, on Friday 9th April.
