Samit Patel struck his second Twenty20 half-century in successive days as the Nottinghamshire Outlaws chased down 164 to beat the Lancashire Lightning by six wickets.
Patel ended 84 not out to steer Notts home, helped by Stephen Fleming (19) and David Hussey (21) contributions.
Lancashire were put in on a soggy outfield and, although seven players reached double figures, Gareth Cross (33) top-scored in their 163-7.
Andy Harris, Gareth Clough and Graeme Swann took two wickets each for Notts.
Notts won the toss in overcast conditions at Trent Bridge and opted to put the visitors in.
Mal Loye and Sanath Jayasuriya got the visitors off to a flier, the Sri Lankan launching his first ball over extra-cover for six.
But Andrew Harris dealt a double blow when he trapped Loye (16) LBW and then had Jayasuriya caught on the mid-wicket boundary for 20.
Brad Hodge (22) and Stuart Law (24) both made valuable contributions before succumbing to the slow-medium bowling of Gareth Clough.
Gareth Cross hit 33 off 25 balls and Kyle Hogg 27 from just 13 balls as Lightning set the Outlaws a tough target to chase.
Their task got harder when Graeme Swann, who had earlier picked up two wickets, chipped straight to Hodge off Oliver Newby and was out for six.
Stephen Fleming (19) put on 53 with Patel and David Hussey shared 39 with the 22-year-old as he steered Notts towards their target.
After Cross brilliantly stumped Chris Read off Gary Keedy, Will Jefferson (20 not out) came in and helped Patel see the Outlaws home.
