Wicket-keeper Nic Pothas will replace England-bound Dimi Mascarenhas as Hampshire's Twenty20 Cup captain.
Pothas takes charge starting tonight against Middlesex at Southgate.
Uncapped all-rounder Mascarenhas was today linking up with the rest of the England squad to face the West Indies in two Twenty20 clashes and three one day internationals.
That means he will miss the remaining six Twenty20 group matches.
Winchester-born left-hander Jimmy Adams, 26, will fill the void left by Mascarenhas, who was chosen to replace Shane Warne as captain after the Aussie spinner was allowed to miss the Twenty20.
