The Worcestershire's Royals Twenty20 Cup game against the Warwickshire Bears at New Road tomorrow night as already been cancelled with New Road already under 2 feet of water after the River Severn burst its banks.
The River Severn flooded its banks to leave the ground under two feet of water, with the prospect of water rising further subsequently.
New Road's proximity to the Rivers Teme and Severn has often caused floods in the early season, and heavy rain across the country is the culprit this time.
Worcestershire's next two home Twenty20 games scheduled in the next few days - against Northamptonshire on Friday and Gloucestershire on Sunday. are already in danger of being cancelled unless an alternative venue can be found at such short notice.
