The big game of the day at Lords between the Middlesex Crusaders and the Surrey Brown Caps has suffered at the hands of the recent bad weather to hit the country.
A band of heavy rain, thunder and lightning rolled in 20 minutes before play was due to start, luckily the covers were already in place and play is expected to only be delayed by 30 minutes with 20 overs a side still a possibility.
After a pitch inspection by umpires Harris and Jesty play will start at 18:10, there will be a reduction on overs and each side will now face 19 overs.
The Crusaders won the toss and elected to field first.
