Durham Dynamos will take a strong team to Blackhall CC on Thursday June 3rd to
play in a Twenty20 match to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the host club.
Chief Executive David Harker said "We are delighted to be participating in
the celebrations for Blackhall's anniversary. As a first class county we are grateful
for the effort that goes in to running cricket in the community and we appreciate
that volunteers help keep cricket afloat so we are thrilled to be able to put
something back."
Head Coach Martyn Moxon added, "With such a hectic fixture list it has been
hard to find space for realistic Twenty20 practice. This game will give us some
valuable match practice and help with the anniversary celebrations."
The Twenty20 Cup starts at the Riverside on Friday 9 July against Lancashire Lightning.
The other fixtures are against Derbyshire Scorpions (Tues 13 July) and Yorkshire
Phoenix (Thurs 15 July) and all three games look likely to sell out. With over
a month to go before the first game, half of all the available tickets have been
snapped up and the only remaining hospitality is in Executive Lounges as all Boxes
have sold out.
