Leicestershire County Cricket Club is counting down to its most exciting summer events of the season when the 2004 Twenty20 Cup hits Grace Road on Wednesday 7th July. This year’s activities include bouncy castle and free face painting for the kids, pitch-side BBQ and beer garden, Gladiator jousting and the return of the ‘Catch-A-Six’ competition where spectators can win a years supply of Carling lager.
Tuesday 13th July is Wild Wild West night where spectators will be invited to don their Stetsons and test their skills on the Rodeo Bull. Visitors can recover from the excitement of the Twenty20 cup matches with a post-match barbecue and live jazz band.
Six friends will have the chance to sit and enjoy the game with all their home comforts, including free beer and food throughout the evening. Leicester company Churchgate Auctions will be creating a ‘home from home’ complete with sofa and armchairs on the Grace Road outfield. Look out for your chance to win ‘The Best Seats In The House’ in The Leicester Mercury.
Sales and Marketing Manager Tracey Stevenson Said “You don’t have to like cricket to enjoy Twenty20 Cup evenings. Grace Road comes alive and the big-hitting action on the field is complimented by the wide range of activities, competitions and entertainment for all the family taking place throughout the evening”
Leicestershire’s two home matches take place at Grace Road on Wednesday 7th and Tuesday 13th July and advanced tickets are now available priced £6 for adults, £15 for families (2 adults & 2 under 16’s) and £3 for concessions.
