Fast bowler Shabbir Ahmed made an unimpressive Twenty20 Cup debut as his team Multan Tigers were thrashed by Sialkot Stallions by nine wickets on the third day of the competition at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Shabbir, who is attempting a comeback after undergoing knee surgery last year in August, conceded 48 runs from his four overs as Shoaib Malik-inspired Sialkot Stallions overhauled Multan Tiger's modest 110 run target with seven overs to spare.
Moin Khan-led Karachi Dolphins were the first to reach the triangular stage Pool A after the game against Hyderabad Hawks was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.
The Yousuf Youhana-lead Lahore Lions and Arshad Khan-skippered Peshawar Stallions were eliminated from the first round after their match was also washed out.
