With less than a month to go until the start of the 2005 Twenty20 Cup, the temperature is already hotting up at Grace Road.
Leicestershire’s bid to retain the Twenty20 Cup kicks off at Grace Road on Wednesday 22 June, when they play host to local rivals the Nottinghamshire Outlaws. And while the players prepare to defend the title, the Club is also looking for ways to make Leicestershire’s 2005 campaign even more of a success off of the field.
Operations Manager, Gus Mackay said “We want to make this year’s home games even bigger and better, with more activities and entertainment for our spectators. The Twenty20 Cup has become a popular feature in Leicester’s sporting calendar and we hope to attract even greater crowds to this years’ events”
The win in 2004 win has attracted greater corporate support for the 2005 competition, including a new sponsorship agreement with long-term supporters Alliance & Leicester.
Sales & Marketing Manager Tracey Stevenson said “We are delighted that Alliance and Leicester will be sponsoring the team’s Twenty20 Cup campaign in 2005. Their support allows us to further enhance the Twenty20 experience at Grace Road and encourage more people to come along and enjoy a great summer’s evening out”
