Tomorrow sees the long-awaited clash between the Northants Steelbacks and the Gloucestershire Gladiators at the picturesque Campbell Park ground.
Organisers say the match is heading for a sell-out of around 4,000 spectators, the appetite having been whetted by England's 100-run victory over Australia in their 20 overs per side thrash last week when Gloucestershire's Jon Lewis was one of the England stars with a brilliant haul of 4-24 off his four overs.
Tomorrow's match promises to be a highly explosive match as the sides thrash it out, fours and sixes guaranteed.
Tickets for the match are on sale from the kiosk at thecentre:mk (midway between Brunches and BHS). They cost just £5 junior, £10 adult, saving both money and queuing at the gate price (£12 and £6).
The action starts at 5.30pm but match hosts, the Parks Trust, are advising everyone to get there early. Gates will open at 4pm.
Public parking is on the events plateau at the John Lewis end of Campbell Park, entry from Avebury Boulevard.
The roads around Campbell Park will be marshalled to prevent people from parking illegally.
Wednesday marks the first games in this season's competition. Matches are decided over 20 overs each side with no bowler allowed to bowl more than four overs.
It is fast and furious, with musical accompaniment as wickets fall, fours and sixes are hit and batsmen scurry to and from the wicket.
There is plenty of off-field entertainment too to keep the whole family occupied.
