Warwickshire's Twenty20 Cup quarter-final with Kent was postponed because of rain, over two hours before the scheduled start at Edgbaston.
Heavy rain for much of the day in the Birmingham area left the umpires with little alternative.
Weather permitting, the match will be played on Thursday evening.
Essex and Middlesex are already through to finals day, but Yorkshire and Durham are awaiting the result of a meeting to discuss an alleged ineligible player.
