Matthew Wood bludgeoned a brilliant 94 off just 35 balls to set up a convincing 15-run win for Somerset over Worcestershire in the Twenty20 Cup.
Wood hit 12 boundaries and four sixes at Taunton as the hosts posted 210-6, with Carl Gazzard's 29 the next best.
Graeme Hick led the run-chase with a bruising 87 off 45 balls, including eight fours and half a dozen sixes.
But the Royals ran out of steam when he fell to Ian Blackwell (2-20), and they managed 195-5 in their 20 overs.
It was a good result for Somerset, who lost to Glamorgan in the same competition on Wednesday by virtue of losing more wickets after scores were tied.
