Heavy torrential rain has hit the Twenty20 Cup tonight with the games at the County Ground Bristol, and at the Rose Bowl in Southampton both abandoned.
The Rose Bowl suffered its second wash-out of the 2005 Twenty20 Cup as south division rivals Hampshire and Essex had to take a point each without a ball being bowled.
The two teams now face off on Wednesday night in the return match at Chelmsford.
Meanwhile in Bristol the Warwickshire Bears had reached 44-1 before heavy rain forced the abandonment of the game after just 6.1 overs.
Gloucestershire next entertain Somerset on Friday at the same ground.
Warwickshire play Glamorgan a day earlier at Edgbaston.
