Yorkshire skipper Craig White is warning tonight's Twenty20 Cup opponents Durham that there is more to come from his side.
Phoenix take on Durham at Headingley (5.30pm) hoping to record their third straight win in the competition.
A quick-fire Ian Harvey century inspired Yorkshire to victory against Derbyshire on Tuesday night and Phoenix can move clear in pole position if they are successful tonight. But White is calling on his troops to move up another level as they look to edge a step closer to qualification for the last eight. "There's still room for improvement," insisted White. "We chased down 195 against Derbyshire and it was a good win but there are areas we can still improve on. "Our fielding was the worst it's been all season and we've certainly got to lift ourselves in that department."
Durham have won just one of their opening three fixtures and Yorkshire have a great chance to strengthen their claims.
"We're going all out to try and qualify," insisted White."
"You can't plan too much in these games because the best laid plans can go pear-shaped in Twenty20."
"We'll keep it simple and look to improve on what we've done so far."
