skipper Michael Vaughan and Anthony McGrath are also absent on international duty.
The Phoenix will be looking to build on the recent eight wicket limited over victory
over Sussex. Derbyshire are likely to include new signing David Taylor in their
side for the opening Twenty20 Cup clash with Yorkshire.
Taylor played for Worcestershire in last season’s 20-over competition and
warmed up for this year’s tournament with a fluid 37 against a representative
team from the local league. Jon Moss has been included in a 13-man squad with
fringe players Dominic Hewson and Neil Gunter pushing for a starting role.
