Northamptonshire will be without Welsh paceman Steffan Jones for their Twenty20
Cup clash against Glamorgan. Jones is sidelined for six weeks with a double fracture
of his left foot picked up during the recent Frizzell County Championship draw
with Lancashire.
Otherwise, the Steelbacks have a fully-fit squad from which to pick from with
South African overseas stars Martin van Jaarsveld and Johan Louw shouldering the
burden of expectation. Glamorgan have not included David Harrison in their 12-man
squad.
Harrison, Glamorgan’s leading wicket-keeper this season, has been rested
to keep him fresh for their upcoming Frizzell County Championship matches. Ryan
Watkins has been drafted in as Harrison’s replacement. Australian overseas
star Matthew Elliott is unavailable as he is away on international duty against
Sri Lanka, while fellow Aussie Michael Kasprowicz will also be an absentee.
