Twenty20 Cup clash against Essex. The all-rounder, who made an instant impact
following his arrival at the Rose Bowl, picked up a hamstring injury but has been
given the all-clear to play.
Shaun Udal will skipper the side in the absence of Shane Warne with Derek Kenway,
Will Kendal and Alan Mullally the most notable names omitted from a 12-man squad.
James Bruce has been included and will play his first one-day game for Hampshire
this season alongside Michael Brown and Zimbabwean Greg Lamb.
Essex have added Aftab Habib and Mark Pettini to their squad. The Eagles have
named a 13-man squad with Habib and Pettini added to the side that drew with Gloucestershire
Gladiators in the totesport League. Adrian McCoubrey (heel) and Ryan ten Doeschate
(stress fracture of the bottom of the foot) are both unavailable for selection.
