The Derbyshire Falcons cruised to a crushing 65 run victory over the Yorkshire Carnegie at Headingly thanks to an impressive inning from Loots Bosman.
The South African smashed a quick fire 94 from just 50 balls to help the Falcons set Yorkshire an imposing target of 223.
Bosman smashed 9 fours and 6 sixes sharing a 141 2nd wicket partnership with Chesney Hughes after skipper Chris Rogers (1) was dismissed at the end of the second over.
Bosman’s inning was ended by Adil Rashid in the 13th over but Hughes (65) continued the aggressive batting before John Sadler smashed 31 from just 10 ballls to help the Falcons set Yorkshire a tough run chase.
Faced with such a large run chase Yorkshire started off in positive fashion with Jacques Rudolph smashing 34 from just 12 balls before he was dismissed by Wes Durston in the 3rd over.
With Rudolph gone Yorkshire never troubled the Falcons total losing wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings with only Herschelle Gibbs (36) offering any sort of resistant’s.
