Impressive Moore leads the way for the Lightning

Stephen Moore hit an impressive half century to help the Lancashire Lightning score a competitive total of 179-4 against the Durham Dynamos at the Riverside Stadium.

Moore scored his half century from just 36 balls which included 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Opener Tom Smith was also on course for a half century but his hopes were ended by Steve Harmison who ran the batsman out in the 9th over.

The pair built a vital 3rd wicket partnership of 34 after Paul Horton (2) and Simon Katich were both dismissed cheaply at the top of the Lightning order.

After reaching 50; Moore (83) intensified his attack scoring another 33 runs from just 16 balls to hand the advantage to the visitors.
