Gareth Rees held his nerve to help the Glamorgan Dragons beat the Gloucestershire Gladiators by 6 wickets in a dramatic finish at the SWALEC Stadium.
Rees came to the crease with the Dragons still needing another 35 runs with 32 balls to spare after Jim Allenby had scored an impressive half century.
With the pressure mounting Rees smashed 32 runs from just 21 balls sharing a 5th wicket partnership of 37 with David Brown (14) to seal the victory with 5 balls to spare.
Earlier the Gladiators were restricted to a total of just 148-6 by the Dragons despite James Franklin impressing with a innings of 42.
During his time at the crease Franklin enjoyed a 31 run partnership with Alex Gidman and 33 runs with Harmish Marshall to help the Gladiators to a total of 94-3 after 11 overs.
The wicket of Franklin; who was dismissed by Jim Allenby changed the course of the game and saw the Gladiators lose 4 wickets in the space of 4 overs.
Marshall (27), Ian Butler (0) and Chris Taylor (7) followed Franklin back to the dug out to leave the Dragons in charge.
Steve Snell (12) and Kadeer Ali (18) saw out the remaining 5 overs building a partnership of 25 to give the Gladiators some hope.
