The Glamorgan Dragons cruised to a comprehensive 7 wicket victory over the Hampshire Royals SWALEC Stadium to make it two wins out of two to start their Friends Provident t20 campaign in style.
Set a target of 115 for victory the Dragons made light work of the total completing the win with 4 balls to spare with Jim Allenby (52) scoring another fine half century.
Allenby remained at the crease throughout of the innings and was supported by Mark Cosgrove (15) and Jamie Dalrymple (14) to record the impressive victory.
Having won the toss and elected to bat; the Royals got off to a bad start losing openers Michael Lumb (1) and Jimmy Adams (6) inside the first 2 overs.
With the Dragons spinners on top the Royals struggled as Sean Irvine (7) was dismissed by Robert Croft at the start of the third over.
Michael Carberry scored a vital 34 runs but with support only coming from Neil McKenzie (21) down the order the Royals struggled.
