The Nottinghamshire Outlaws recorded a 5 wicket victory over the Derbyshire Falcons to start their Friends Provident t20 campaign with back to back victories.
They chased down the Falcons total of 192-6 with three overs to spare with Alex Hales (69) and Samit Patel (62) leading the way for the Outlaws who opened their campaign with a victory over the Worcestershire Royals last night.
Faced with such a large total the Outlaws always remained in control despite the required run rate being almost 10 an over.
Having won the toss and batting first the Falcons will be disappointed to have lost especially after Wes Durston (111) smashed a 51 ball century before he was run out by David Hussey in the 18th over.
The defeat for the Falcons was their second in a row after winning their first two group games.
