The Sussex Sharks hold the upper hand against the Glamorgan Sharks after restricting the home side to a total of just 143-6 at the SWALEC Stadium.
Having won the toss Dragons skipper Jamie Dalrymple decided to bat first but it was a decision which proved to be costly after openers Mark Cosgrove (14) and Jim Allenby (11) were quickly dismissed.
Tom Maynard (35) enjoyed a 33 run partnership with Dalrymple (6) before the skipper was dismissed by Chris Nash in the 10th over to leave the Dragons 61-3.
Maynard soon followed after his 23 ball innings was ended by Nash before Gareth Rees and David Brown shared a 5th wicket partnership of 46 before Brown (16) was run out in the 17th over.
Rees (35) followed Brown back to the dugout in the next over when he was run out which left Mark Wallace (13) and James Harris (6) to see out the last 8 balls of the innings.
