Hussey shines for Outlaws after early wobble

David Hussey came to the rescue of the Nottinghamshire Outlaws scoring a vital half century to help the undefeated Outlaws reach 176-6 against the Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston.

Hussey came to the crease with the Outlaws 35-3 but when Matt Wood (7) was bowled by Imran Tahir at the end of the 6th over the home side looked in control.

But Hussey, supported by Chris Read fought back with a timely innings which saw the pair built a vital 5th wicket partnership of 79 which saw the momentum turn in favour of the Outlaws.

With the Outlaws looking to push on the Bears struck back thanks to Jonathan Trott who caught Read (26) a the start of the 15th over to give Keith Baker his second wicket of the match.

Hussey (81) continued at the crease with support from Steven Mullaney (3) and Paul Franks (23) to help the Outlaws reach a competitive total as the look to make it 5 wins out of 5.
