Steelbacks suffer torrid time at Trent Bridge

The Northamptonshire Steelbacks suffered a torrid time against the Nottinghamshire Outlaws slumping to a total of only 121-7 at Trent Bridge.

Having won the toss the Steelbacks got off to the worst possible start when Rob White (0) was dismissed from just the third balls of Darren Pattinson’s first over.

Chaminda Vaas (4) soon followed but Alex Wakely offered some resistant’s scoring a vital 43 before he was dismissed by Paul Franks in the 14th over.

Nicky Boje (6) and Paul Harrison (10) soon followed before skipper Andrew Hall scored a valuable inning of 40 to help the Steelbacks reach 121-7.

With the bowlers on top Pattinson (4-19) took the highest accolades picking up four wickets and bowling a maiden to help the Outlaws pressure a disappointing Steelbacks batting lineup.
