The Durham Dynamos slumped to a heavy 50 run defeat against the Lancashire Lightning to secure their 4th victory in this years Friends Provident t20.
Set a total of 188 for victory the Dynamos lost Ian Blackwell (1) and Ross Taylor (8) early on which was a blow they could never overcome.
They continued to lose wickets at regular intervals with only skipper Phil Mustard (21) offering any resistant’s at the top of the order.
Having won the toss and deciding to bat first Steven Croft scored a half century to help the Lightning reach 187-8.
Having lost Tom Smith (5) in the second over the home side were indebted to Croft who scored 68 from just 60 balls which included 7 fours and 2 sixes.
With support coming from Stephen Moore (21) and Simon Katich (35); Croft produced a memorable inning to give the Lighting the advantage.
