The Surrey Lions cruised to a 44 run victory over the Kent Spitfires thanks to Jason Roy who recorded his first ever Twenty20 century to help the visitors move up to second place in the South table.
Roy came to the crease in just the 3rd over after Lions skipper Rory Hamilton-Brown (6) had been dismissed by Darren Stevens. He wasted little time sharing a 78 run partnership with Steve Davies (42).
The young batsman reached his half century from 30 balls but he impressively raced to an impressive century from just 26 balls smashing 5 fours and a six.
Andrew Symonds (31) played a supporting role to help the Lions reach 201-4.
In reply the Spitfires started off positively thanks to Martin van Jaarsveld who would go onto to score an impressive 82 but with only support coming from Azhar Mahmood (34) the home side slumped to a 44 run defeat.
