Jimmy Adams scored his second Twenty20 Friends Provident t20 century of the summer to help the Hampshire Royals secure a 54 run victory over the Glamorgan Dragons.
The win see’s the Royals leapfrog the Surrey Lions into the final quarter finals place in the South group of the Friends Provident t20.
Adams, who has enjoyed a successful summer for the Royals, smashed his way to a 61 ball century to help the Royals reach a total of 199-5.
Despite losing Michael Lumb (5) in just the third over Adam took control of the innings smashing 16 fours in partnership with James Vince (39) and Sean Irvine (20).
Faced with such a large total the Dragons got off to a good start thanks to Mark Cosgrove who smashed 33 from just 23 deliveries which included three sixes before he was brilliantly caught by Dominic Cork in the 4th over.
With Cosgrove, the danger man gone the Dragons quickly fell apart as they slumped to 62-4 with Jim Allenby (7), Tom Maynard (7) and Jamie Dalrymple (4) offering little resistant’s.
With the Dragons top order back in the dug out Mark Wallace (42) offered some hope but with little support the visitors slumped to defeat.
