The Warwickshire Bears claim a thrilling 5 wicket victory over the Durham Dynamos in a low scoring affair at the Emirates Durham ICG.
Faced with a target of 118 for victory the Bears stuttered as they lost key wickets at regular intervals to win with just 2 over remaining.
Jim Troughton (34) and Darren Maddy (20) set the Bears on their way before Rikki Clarke (29) smashed two sixes in the closing stages of the game.
After a promising start to the tournament the Dynamos slipped to their fifth straight defeat with only Albie Morkel offering any resistant’s after the top order was blown away.
After coming to the crease with the home side 23-4; Morkel played a control innings to give the home side hope but with only support coming from Gareth Breese (30) the Dynamos were well short of a competitive total.
