Nicky Boje smashed the last ball of the game for a boundary to allow the Northants Steelbacks to secure a dramatic tie with Yorkshire Carnegie at the County Ground.
With the home side needing 11 runs from the final ball of the game Rich Pryah bowled an above waist no ball which was smashed for six by Boje.
In the ensuing confusion the visitors started to leave the pitch thinking they had won the game but having been called back by the umpires Boje held his nerve to smash Pryah through the covers to secure an amazing tie.
Having been set a total of 181 for victory thanks to an impressive century by Hecshelle Gibbs the Steelbacks got off to a great start thanks to David Sales (49) and Chaminda Vaas (53) who shared an opening partnership of 101.
Despite the excellent start Sales and Vaas quickly departed before the Steelbacks middle order failed to fail which left the home side needing 18 from the final over to secure the victory.
Early having won the toss Yorkshire decided to bat first and thanks to a 52 ball century from South African Gibbs the visitors reached 180-5.
