Impressive Wood stars in Outlaws victory

Matt Wood stared with the bat once again to lead the Nottinghamshire Outlaws to a impressive 7 wicket victory over the Leicestershire Foxes at Grace Road.

Having been set a target of 183 for victory the Outlaws cruised to their 9th win in this years Friends Provident t20 with 9 balls to spare.

Despite losing Alex Harris (29) early on Wood (61) and partner Ali Brown (55) enjoyed a second wicket partnership of 74 which put the Outlaws in control of the game.

With the Foxes now on the back foot Samit Patel (16) and Steven Mullaney (12) completed the victory despite Brad Hodge hitting a superb century for the home side.

The Aussie smashed 7 four and 4 sixes reaching 100 in just 65 but with support only coming from James Taylor (56) the Foxes ended up reaching 182-3.
