Middlesex Panthers skipper Neil Dexter smashed a impressive half century to help his side cruise to a 7 wicket victory over the Surrey Lions.

Faced with a target of 121 for victory the Panthers reached their target with 2 overs to spare thanks to Dexter (62) who smashed 8 fours to remain unbeaten at the end.

Owais Shah added 32 as the Panthers claimed their 6th victory which keeps their hopes of claiming a place in the knock out stages of the Friends Provident t20 alive.

Having batted first the Lions disappointed with danger men Mark Ramprakash (0) and Jason Roy (0) both failing at the top of the order, with Tom Smith (3-16) staring with the ball it was left to Gary Wilson (36) to push the Lions score up to 120-8.
