The Surrey Lions kept their hopes of reaching the Friends Provident t20 quarter finals alive thanks to an 8 wicket victory over the Sussex Sharks at Arundel.

Having suffered a 30 minute delay because of crowd congestion at the Arundel Castle Cricket Club the Sharks got of to a dreadful start losing 4 earlier wickets to leave them 20-4.

Dwayne Smith (21), Ollie Raynor (26) and Chad Keehan (26) lead the fightback but a total of 121-8 was never going to be enough against a bg hitting Lions line up.

And it proved to be the case with Rory Hamilton-Brown playing an impressive innings to top score with 67 which included 10 fours and two sixes,

The Lions lost Steve Davies (9) and Jason Roy (0) earlier on with support coming from Stewart Walters (24) the visitors cruised to victory with 10 balls to spare.
