The Northamptonshire Steelbacks cruised into the Friends Provident t20 quarter finals thanks to a comprehensive 7 wicket victory over the Durham Dynamos.
The visitors came into the game knowing victory would seal them a place in the knock out stages after their victory over the Derbyshire Falcons on Friday night.
Faced with a target of 131 for victory; the Steelbacks made light work of the run chase thanks to Rob White (63) and Alex Wakely (35) who enjoyed a second wicket partnership of 64.
With victory in sight White and Wakely were both dismissed but with wickets in hand the Steelbacks romped home with 13 balls to spare
Having won the toss the Dynamos batted first but suffered a torrid time with the bat with only Mike Stoneman (35) and Albie Morkel (35) offering any resistant’s helping the home side reach 130-5.
