The Nottinghamshire Outlaws trio of fast bowlers are aiming for Twenty20 glory at the Rose Bowl tomorrow in the Friends Provident t20 Finals Day.
Dirk Nannes, Ryan Sidebottom and Darren Pattinson have been in impressive form during this year’s tournament taking 44 wickets to help the Outlaws record 10 victories during the group stages.
While Nannes and Sidebottom were expected to lead the Outlaws attack it’s Pattinson who is proving to be the danger man thanks to his haul of 20 wickets.
With all eyes on him tomorrow; Pattinson will be looking to keep it simple and produce similar success for the Outlaws.
"It has gone really well for me in T20. I have come in and taken quite a few wickets, as well as managing to bowl pretty tightly," said Pattinson to the Nottingham Post.
"I played a few four-day games leading into T20 and bowled quite well, without getting lots of wickets. But I carried that into T20 and the wickets have come," he added.
"I think it helps having Dirk and Sid bowling first up because, after those two, people are probably looking to try to hit me a bit more, which can work in your favour."
