Outlaws outclass disappointing Falcons

David Hussey smashed a quick fire half century to help the Nottinghamshire Outlaws record a comfortable 38 run victory over the Derbyshire Falcons at Trent Bridge.

The Australian led the Outlaws attack, blasting five boundaries and a six to score 60 runs from just 45 balls to leave the Royals facing a run chase of 185.

Riki Wessels (30), Samit Patel (26) and Chris Read (21) provided vital contributions to help the home side record a total of 184-6.

Wes Durston (36) and Martin Guptill (25) got the Falcons run chase off to a perfect start thanks to an opening stand of 49 but6 one the pair had been removed by Andy Carter the Outlaws took control of the game.

Garry Park added 36 vital runs but the Falcons middle order struggled to keep the visitors up with the required run rate as they slipped to a comprehensive defeat.
