The Leicestershire Foxes cruised to a 6 wicket victory over the in form Northamptonshire Steelbacks at the County Ground in Northampton.
Having set the Foxes a victory target of 136, the Steelbacks were unable to keep the visitors at bay as they lost their first game in this years County season.
James Taylor (36) and Paul Nixon (44) led the way with a 4th wicket stand of 84 after the Foxes had slipped to 51-3 after Joshua Cobb (26) had been removed by Lee Daggett in the 6th over.
Having won the toss, the Steelbacks got off to a slow start after they lost Rob White (1) at the start of the 2nd after he was dismissed by Harry Gurney.
Chaminda Vaas (19) and Johan Botha (36) led the Steelbacks recovery but three quick wickets from Matthew Hoggard kept the Foxes on top.
Alex Wakely added 30 to help the Steelbacks reach a disappointing 135-5.
