The Middlesex Panthers recorded their 2nd victory in this years tournament thanks to a 28 run Duckworth Lewis victory over the Kent Spitfires at a wet Uxbridge Cricket Club Ground.
Faced with a run chase of 150, the Panthers had reached 79-1 at the start of the 9th over when the players were forced off the pitch by heavy rain.
With the rain showing no signs of stopping play was abandoned at 20.25 by umpires Steve Garratt and Peter Hartley to leave Paul Stirling 51 not out with Scott Newman stranded on 24.
Having batted first the Spitfires reached 149-3 thanks in part to Joe Denly who smashed 84 runs from 64 balls which included eight boundaries and two sixes.
Martin van Jaarsveld offered support, smashing 43 runs from 32 balls to help the visitors set the Panthers a run chase of 150 as the rain clouds started to roll across the ground.
