Hussey innings in vain as rain hits Trent Bridge

Harjit Mehat | cricket20

The Nottinghamshire Outlaws Friends Life t20 clash against the Leicestershire Foxes has been abandoned with just 20 overs of play possible at a very wet Trent Bridge.

Play got under way on time and although David Hussey smashed 73 runs from just 37 deliveries to put the Outlaws into a good position play was halted with the Outlaws 188-6.

With heavy rain continuing to fall play was abandoned by the umpires at 20.25 after an inspection of the very wet outfield.

With no more play possible both teams are awarded one point.
